Ghost Moth

I think this is a ghost moth.... or at least Bryan thinks this is a ghost moth.
Had a great visit with Anne and Mark and Bonnie last week while in DC. But oh so glad to get home. I like to leave porch lights on at night, but doing so makes our porches a grave yard for june bugs and moths. I found this guy out there Saturday morning. Looks like he survived the night of beating himself against our huge porch light. Lights have been off since :-)
Isn't he beautiful?
Came home to our grass finally starting to turn green and the azaleas busting with blooms
We bought some hostas wholesale so they were looking just like roots with a teeny shoot. Planted them last Saturday and a week later they are popping up like crazy.

Whoops - bad identification from me. Looks like it was a silkmoth: http://bugguide.net/node/view/4624/bgpage

I thought he was gorgeous, but I also thought his body looked like a plump and tasty morsel for some big bird. Mmm Mmm

I think that's called a Cecropia moth - you get all the good ones there.
